Medicare D Plans
All the Medicare plans in West Virginia allow seniors to receive their prescription drugs at a reduced cost out of their own pockets.
Some of the Medicare Part D plans in West Virginia also allow common prescription drugs to be covered in part or in full through the use of generics or name brand medicines that are usually prescribed to seniors.
Not only in West Virginia but in all the states of America, the coverage begins the month following the month you enrol in a Part D drug plan. Most of the people are still not aware of the fact that anyone can join a PDP as long as they are enrolled in Medicare Part A and/or Medicare Part B. The main aim of buying a Medicare Part D plan is to reduce the amount of out of pocket costs in concert with the other medical care provided by Medicare's other parts.
Before a person should sign up for Medicare D Prescription Drug Plan, he/she should be familiar with the following things-
-
Participation in the Medicare D program is voluntary.
-
Mostly people don’t know that the Medicare D plan is not provided directly by the government; as a result, the types of drugs covered can vary.
-
You can continue with the Senior Care program if you want, which is Wisconsin’s drug assistance program.

If someone refunded his money due to lack of satisfaction on plan after enrolling into the Medicare D PDP, then that person will not be able to reconstruct the patient prescription drug coverage that a person have had under the Medicare supplement policy. Every year the enrollment into the Medicare D PDP is from November 15 to December 31.
One should always be very careful while determining how much their yearly due expense for prescription medications will be and what the Medicare D coverage will be yearly for premiums, deductibles and co-payments.
